Ali Gilmore was born on January 5, 1976, and was 30 years old at the time of her disappearance form her home in Wilson Green in Tallahassee, Florida. She is a black female, 5 feet 6 inches, has brown hair, brown eyes, medium complexion and weighs approximately 180 lbs.

Identifying characteristics: Pierced ears, tattoo of the name "Ali" on right side of her chest, birthmark on abdomen. Ali Gilmore was four months pregnant at the time of her disappearance!

As I write this post the timer counting how long Ali has been missing still grows. Second by second it continues to show she is still not home with her family and friends. Do you know Ali's story? Have you heard of her at all. It's been 7 years since anyone last saw or heard from Ali. She was 4 months pregnant with her first child when she vanished without a trace.

With the recent discoveries of Jaycee Dugard, Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight,  who all were missing for 10 years or more, the hopes and hearts of the families of missing persons were again filled. They feel if the others were found after so long that their loved one may also be found.

Now is the time for all out campaigns focusing on the missing in each state and county. Show their faces and stories and remind the public they are still gone. Get the age progressed photos in the paper, on the news or on billboards. Think back if you heard or over heard a story in a bar or at a gathering about one of the missing. You may be the one who finally breaks a case wide open and helps LE bring someone home. Someone knows the truth but for some odd reason they keep their silence. You hold the answers, you can solve a mystery. And in this day and age you can be anonymous or protected by Law Enforcement. So why aren't more people speaking up? Why aren't missing people home?

The families have a right to know. If someone knew where your loved one was or what happened to them wouldn't you want them to speak up? Wouldn't you expect them to do the right thing?

Sadly the missing adults get little to no press coverage. People like Ali Gilmore are all but forgotten. The only people who remember them are either their family or owners of missing persons sites like ours.

This needs to change and now. Priceless seconds are ticking by and bringing us no closer to our missing loved ones.

Stop, think, remember. You could bring someone home and make their Missing poster or site vanish for good.

Freedom from Hell, Re-entering Life, Forgive but not Forget.

Michelle Knight Speaks, and is heard.

Right now all across the country words of praise and strength are being spoken about a very brave and strong woman. Her name is Michelle Knight. Eleven years ago, when she was abducted off the street just blocks from her home, the Internet was still young and campaigns to find the missing were small and unorganized. As computers became more affordable and the Internet seemed endless sites popped up all over to help locate the missing. Whether children or adults, abducted or runaway it didn't matter. In 2005 my best friend Kris and I created one of those very sites. Our site, From Whispers to Roars, was and still is unique. We posted all missing from the 1930's to present. The circumstances of how the person became missing didn't matter. If you weren't home you were posted. There are many things that made FWTR original and my regular readers know them. But I'm not here to focus on the site. I'm here about one individual young woman who was posted on our site.

Her name is Michelle Knight. And I'm here to talk about Michelle and the Demon she no longer has to deal with, Ariel Castro. The Sexual Predator who abducted her by mentioning he knew her through his children.

We now know how many pedophiles operate. The ploys they use with children and teens and yes even adults. Sadly those of us who post online "How to protect your family from pedophiles." gave them many of their ideas on how to get around these directions that were meant to protect and use them for their own gain. We shouldn't feel guilty. We were seriously trying to protect people and not hurt them. I didn't realize we were doing this until I found out my own husband was using my words and posts to get away with molesting our oldest daughter for 4 years.

I will continue posting and will also add new ways to protect our families with this new knowledge I have acquired. I will never stop and hope that what I write will save others.

Now to Michelle. I watched you along with most of America stand tall and speak from your heart. And I was proud. Why you ask. Because I was one of many who listed you as missing and every year on the anniversary of your disappearance moved your story to the top for all to see. You were never alone Michelle and never forgotten. The missing community is a tight group. We pray together and cry together. Whether they are happy tears like on the day you, Gina  and Amanda were found alive. Or when one of our missing is found dead. No matter the circumstances you were never alone and always loved. I hope you read this and know I'm speaking the truth and find some comfort from it.

The missing become part of our daily lives and part of our family. You Michelle have a huge family out there you just didn't know it. Now that you do you can turn to us for comfort, a hug or even a prayer. All you have to do is ask and we are there for you. Things don't stop or change when your found. You are apart of our lives forever now. And I felt blessed because of how strong you are. You proved it when faced with giving the victim impact statement and you didn't back down or show fear standing in the same room as that animal Castro. You did us all proud and I will never forget seeing you there. You spoke of how what happened didn't define who you are or who you will be. And how his hell is just beginning. How you will forgive what happened but will never forget. I was totally in awe. You are sweet and beautiful and strong. No one can ever take that from you. No one.

So when you go to sleep tonight know that your actions have helped others in your situation. You have made others strong who thought they couldn't be just by seeing you do it. You are an inspiration and always will be. Bless you Michelle Knight. We know God already has blessed us with you. You are a Hero.

Miracles Can Still Happen

When Jaycee was found alive it gave families and websites like ours hope. Little did we know how right we were.

This week 3 of our missing, Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were found alive just blocks from where they vanished.

When the news broke I started jumping up and down and through tears repeated their names along with the news anchors. My hunny has never seen the Advocate side of me because I stopped years before we met. But he saw a brief moment of my life that day and got tears along with me.

Alive after all this time. For Gina and Amanda it's been 10yrs. But for Michelle it was 11yrs. Like everyone I wanted to see them. To see living miracles, to know how close the age progression pictures were. Mostly to see them animated instead of one dimensional posts on our forum.

The only one we saw was Amanda for the longest time. And she looked the same. Bright eyes, big smile and now a mommy to a beautiful little girl. "Its me Amanda Berry, I got away and I'm alive!" echoes in my ears every time I think of them being free.

I will NOT mention the name of their captor, this is just for them.

UPDATE

The 3 women, not girls anymore, made a YouTube video thanking everyone for the help, money and prayers. They all look amazing. Strong and bound to each other for the rest of their lives. A friendship none of us will ever know or understand. They are all beautiful and HOME.

As Promised

As Promised I am posting the opening of my book.

If I could turn back time

 

So many nights I would lay there and wonder what I could have done differently. Was this my fault? What could I have done to make him do this, to our own daughter? Was I loving enough, he said I was. Was I a good wife, he always said I was the best. Then how? How could this happen. Why did it happen?

 

These questions I will never get an honest answer from him. I know this now and have resigned myself to accept it. He has changed his answers to suit whomever he was talking to. So many different reasons, none true.

 

This isn’t your usual Pedophile/ Sex Offender story. This is a new animal you haven’t heard of before. This one fooled everyone at the exact same time. Friends, family, coworkers, his own children and yes me. His wife of 20 years.

 

When I told friends and family I was going to write this book there wasn’t a single disparaging word. Everyone including the children are supporting me.

 

So why am I writing this and putting my life and curse out for all to see? For you, the person reading this. To help you do what I couldn’t and save children from this abuse. It isn’t just sexual, don’t be fooled. It is more and deeper than you can imagine. It is emotional, physical and never ending. Until you stop it, you take the reins of your life and say STOP.

 

This is our STOP, This is my STOP.

 

I’m hoping to open your eyes and educate you on this new Sex Offender. The loving and honest father, husband, Daddy. What makes him so new and different than the usual Pedophile? That is easy, it was me. We weren’t your typical American family. I was a diehard children’s advocate. My life was protecting all children especially my own. I worked daily, sometimes into the early morning hours doing everything I could to bring my dream to life. Stopping Sex Offenders and finding the missing.

 

 I would post on my forum and write long blog posts to do all I could to bring the missing home or stop a sex offender from getting any more victims. And he supported me 100%. He would read my posts and tell me how proud of me he was. Proud. The truth was not proud but dark and ugly.

 

 

With writing this book I want you to see the truth through my eyes and those of my children. To look at your own life and ask the right questions and maybe save your children like I couldn’t till it was too late.

 

We are no longer the typical American family. We have changed even evolved because of this. It has taken me years to get to this point in my life. To share what happened without crying, to tell you about our life and how perfect can be a bad thing. And hope you learn from it. From this true story. And save a child from the pain my children have had to deal with. The looks of contempt from people who didn’t know the truth, family who were lied to and didn’t know this happened.

 

I wasn’t sure where to start and then realized it has to be from the very beginning. It will make sense later I promise. See what I didn’t see and had no idea was even happening. No not the abuse but the grooming to help conceal it.

Harder than I thought

Morning Everyone,

As promised I'm here to up date you on my progress on the book. I have an outline all written up and the first 5 pages.

Yep you saw that correctly I have started lol. And to be honest this is a lot harder than I thought it would be. Not the writing part but the emotions it brings up.

 I began to get emotional when I started talking about what I wanted people to get from the book and our life way back in the beginning. I caught myself thinking about the way we used to be. But not just memories but the way it actually felt. The butterflies at the thought of holding his hand or our faces going flush when we kissed and so on. And immediately getting angry at myself for letting those feelings to come back into my life. Especially since they were the ones about him.

Those feelings are always followed by nausea and contempt for him. Knowing that he experienced those same feelings when he was abusing our daughter. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

OK back to the present, here and now. I promised my Facebook friends and family I would post my opening page for them to critique and make suggestions about on my personal FB page. And I'm now promising you the same thing.

Later today I will post my opening page here on the blog IF I get 10 comments to this post. I know you think that's silly but oh contra ire it makes perfect sense. If there are 10 comments then I know people are actually interested in seeing the beginning of my book here on the blog. And if there aren't 10 comments then I know the public would rather see other posts on AMBER Alerts or the missing or Sex Offender info and not the book.

The last thing I want to do is run people off by posting things they aren't interested in. So that's why I'm asking for the comments.

It is now 5:45am. I will check back all day and if I get 10 comments by 6:00pm I will post it by 6:30pm.

And I'm not so shallow that I'll be upset or angry if the comments aren't there. It's just an offer to see into what I'm doing :-)

Big News

Greetings Everyone.

I have BIG news. I've decided that I'm going to write a book. It's going to be personal account of what happened to my family over the last few years.

It will explain why I went silent here on the blog and on our site From Whispers to Roars.

It will be a more detailed description of Pedophiles, one we never hear about. And how it changed our lives.

As a children's advocate I told you how to protect your family and children from Sex Offenders. Little did I know that one in particular was paying very close attention and used everything I said to hide his crime.

I will be setting up a FB Fan page chronicling the writing process and also be posting on here. When I'm finished I'll post directions on how to order the book.

This is very scary and personal but having all of you and your support will help me greatly.

We're Still Standing

That's right folks we are still here. In the last few years my life has gone through some major changes.

 But I'm finally at a point where I am able to share with you all what happened, where I've been and where we are going next.

Its going to be very difficult but it is just another big step forward that needs to be done.

It will give you an idea or peek into what's to come.

So we have decided to feature them here on the blog in one big post.

This is Our Calling


None of us asked for this job. What person in their right mind would want to feel the pain and loss we each feel. The grief when someone is found dead. The tearing of our hearts when the person is found but not in the same condition they left in. We can't only feel joy of a person being found and returned to their family.

It is all connected.


The sleepless nights wondering where someone is or trying to understand how another human being could kill an innocent person. Answers that we will never get no matter how much we want them. The hours searching for updates on a case. The scrapes and blisters from searching the woods all day. The anxiety over did we do everything we could or did we miss something. The blurry eyes and headaches from researching all hours of the night and lack of sleep.


The frustration when we don't feel like we are getting anywhere or helping enough. The darkest time of night when we ask why am I doing this, it isn't even my family. The missed appointments and school plays lost because we were talking to a person who's family member is missing and comforting them.


None of us want this. We do this not for a pat on the back or 15 minutes on TV, we do this for all the people who can't. Yes it's very hard, yes it can be more painful than you can imagine. But all that can't compare to the feeling you get when you help bring a person home.

The day you don't feel anything when you hear a person was hurt or killed needlessly is the day you should walk away.

We are a unique group of people who are drawn to each other. Complete strangers who have a common bond, helping the helpless. We support each other and give words of comfort or encouragement. We keep each other going because deep down we understand when others don't. Like I said before none of us want this...

The purpose of the silent demonstration is to grab the public’s attention for a short time on the two year anniversary of Lilly's disappearance to make everyone aware that Lilly is still missing, and we are still looking for answers. We understand that Lilly isn't the only loved one that's missing. There are many missing persons in South Florida and thousands across the country. We are remembering them and their families on this special occasion, as well. Anyone with a missing loved one is urged to attend the event and bring a photo or flyer to share. Let us stand in solidarity.

Family and friends will peacefully deliver a powerful message to Miami Dade Police Department that Lilly deserves justice, she deserves to be found. Lilly has not been forgotten by her family and friends and she shouldn't be forgotten by the community where she lived. We'd like to see Miami Dade Police take meaningful action. Please show your support by joining Lilly's family and friends. Help us seek JUSTICE FOR LILLY!

I realize few of you live in the Miami area, if you are unable to be there in person, we ask you to have Lilly in your thoughts and prayers while the vigil is going on. Deputies: SC Mom On Run With 555-Pound Boy Alexander Draper, Jerri Gray Missing

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -- Deputies are looking for a mother and son after the state was planning to take the 555-pound 14-year-old into protective custody, according to Greenville County deputies.

Alexander Draper Believed to be with his mother, Jerri Gray, in a white with burgundy stripes 1996 Chevy van. Call CrimeStoppers at 23-CRIME

Alexander Draper is considered to be at a critical stage of health risk. When officers went to take the boy from the home, they found that he and his mother, Jerri Gray, had left the home on Goodwin Bridge Road in Travelers Rest.

According to the Department of Social Services, Gray was supposed to appear in family court with the boy on Tuesday, but they did not show up. At the hearing, Alexander was ordered into the custody of the state due to medical neglect and Gray's failure to appear in court.

Investigators said that the mother and son's whereabouts are unknown to family members.

Deputies said the mother and son are possibly traveling in a 1996 Chevrolet van, model 1500, white with burgundy stripes, with the South Carolina tag number AQZ 566.

There is a warrant for Gray's arrest on a violation of custody order. Alexander is considered an endangered missing person at this time.

AMBER Alert Issued In N.J. After 2-Year-Old Taken

NEW YORK

(CBS) The New Jersey State Police have issued an AMBER alert for a missing 2-year-old boy.

Altereek Dunn Jr. was allegedly snatched by his father, Altereek Dunn on Wednesday evening.

Dunn is driving a dark colored 2009 Audi -- possibly black or metallic -- with temporary New Jersey registration in the back window.

Amber Alert Issued; Child Last Seen In Miami Springs

BARTOW, Fla. -- An Amber Alert has been issued for a 6-year-old boy missing from Central Florida. Authorities said Ar'Marion Hargrove is from Bartow, but was last known to be in the Miami Springs area.

He was traveling with a 25-year-old black male named Charles Hargrove, possibly in a white four-door Chevrolet Impala with Florida license tag 575 HXD.

Ar'Marion is black, 3 feet tall and 25 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white polo shirt with dark blue jeans, a gray and black jacket and black tennis shoes.

Update 10-20-08
Some information from sources advise that they may be headed to Colorado. Levi had a guitar with him that possibly could be used to pawn for money. He had mentioned wanting to live in the wild in Colorado to fish and hunt, etc. Authorities are contacting pawn shops in the area to see if they noticed Levi or Paige selling any items for money.

Neither Paige or Levi have a Driver’s License or much experience driving a motor vehicle. Levi is known to be bi-polar and off his meds. He has threatened suicide, but is not known to have a weapon. Levi took Paige from a football game in Lathrop, MO Friday night after having altercation with parents. Destination is unknown, some friends of Levi’s have mentioned he always wanted to be a “rock star” in California. Paige has some biological family in Pine Bluff, Arkansas Area. According to abcnews online the AMBER Alert for Cole Puffinburger has been canceled.

They gave no reason for the cancellation. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced a news conference to be held at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. PT).
