Amber Alert Issued for 5-Year-Old Alabama Boy; Cops Say Child Could Be in Danger

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. — A search continues for a vehicle after a man stole a car in which a five-year-old boy was seated.
Alabama State Troopers and Albertville Police issued the Amber Alert for Geontae Glass, who was in a light blue 1994 Nissan Altima with no tag when it was stolen this morning in front of a convenience store on Baltimore Avenue.
The car was last seen traveling south on Alabama 205.
Police said the child's mother was in the store when a pickup truck drove up, a man got out and stole the car. The driver of the pickup also fled the scene.
Authorities said the child, who is black, is considered to be in extreme danger. The youngster weighs about 65 pounds and is approximately three feet tall and was wearing blue jeans and a long-sleeve blue T-shirt.
Troopers urged anyone with information to call the Albertville Police Department at 256-878-1212 or the Department of Public Safety at 334-242-4128; or your local police department.

The vehicle associated with Geontae Glass is identified as teal or turquoise in color, instead of light blue.
The vehicle is a four-door, 1994 Nissan Altima bearing no license plate.
It was last seen traveling south on Alabama Highway 205.
