Amber Alert Suspect May Be Headed To Lubbock

There are new developments in the Amber Alert that started in Louisiana. NewsChannel 11 has learned that the mother suspected of kidnapping her own children is originally from Lubbock.

Louisiana authorities tell us that's why they believe Laquita Winfrey may be headed to Lubbock with her boys. Winfrey does not have custody and allegedly kidnapped 10 year old Demonte and 11 year old Demond Winfrey from their school in Cecilia, Louisiana. The brothers were last seen wearing red golf shirts and navy blue pants.

Again, the suspect is 31-year-old Laquita Winfrey, also known as Kimberly Bosley. She is about 5'7'', and 135 pounds. She also has spiky hair, and a dark complexion.

The boys were last seen getting into a white mid-size sedan, possibly a Nissan Maxima or a Ford Taurus. If you know anything about this case, please call Crime Line at 741-1000.
