Autopsy Confirms Body Belongs To Lori Hamm
LONGVIEW, Wash. - An autopsy on Thursday confirmed that a body found in a wooded area near Castle Rock is that of a missing Longview woman.
The Cowlitz County coroner and sheriff's office say the body found Tuesday is that of 36-year-old Lori Hamm, who was last seen July 16 after attending church in Kelso.
Police are looking for a 46-year-old transient, John Wayne Thomson, who was seen driving Hamm's car the day she disappeared. He is also wanted for questioning in the disappearance of a 73-year-old Spokane man, James Ehrgott.
Thomson is a convicted rapist who was released from prison in 2002.
The FBI says a federal warrant has been issued charging Thomson with fleeing to avoid prosecution.
He reportedly was recently seen in Riverside County, California (east of Los Angeles), but authorities say he may have fled the state or the country. For Updates on Thomson click Here.
