Diane Christine Pierce 45, Endangered/Missing in Sugarloaf California
"If Diane Christine Pierce doesn't take her diabetic medications soon, she may die. But the problem is, she's missing. "
The search continues tonight for a missing Palm Springs woman and it could be a matter of life and death. Diane Pierce hasn't been seen since last week. The 45-year old was reported missing after going to the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs with her boyfriend on Wednesday. A police report says that they returned to separate hotel rooms around 2:30 in the morning. Search and rescue teams began looking for her yesterday near the Sugarloaf Mountain area along Highway 74. Her car was found there over the weekend.
“If she didn't take her insulin with her, ketoacidosis, other problems, could result in not having her insulin.”
A Department of Forestry worker spotted the car Thursday afternoon. He didn't think anything suspicious about it until he spotted the same car at the same spot for the next two days. On Sunday, this parking lot became the watch command post for a search and rescue team.
Search crews found no sign of the 5’ 1”, 190 lbs woman. And if that wasn't heartbreaking enough, there was worse news. “We've experienced a little snow storm. The snow level is couple of thousand feet above us, but it was spitting snow at this elevation yesterday. It got down to freezing last night.”
