AMBER Alert Canceled for 3-year-old Mark Williams III, taken at gunpoint

AMBER Alert Issued

An AMBER alert has been issued for central and south-central Ohio.

Pike County authorities say are looking for a man who they say kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and his biological child.

They're looking for Mark E. Williams. He is white, 6'1", 296 pounds.

Police say Williams kidnapped 23-year-old Summer Howard and her son, 3-year-old Mark Williams III at gunpoint.

Williams might be driving a red, four-door Buick with license plates DSB 4598.

Deputies say Williams stole the vehicle from Ronald and Shirley Howard in Portsmouth.

They say Williams is armed with rifles and has threatened to shoot if someone comes near him.

A mother and her child went missing in the middle of the night. It all started in Lucasville, but now, everyone is back where they belong. Investigators say Mark Williams, Jr. let his girlfriend leave his sight to pay for gas for the car, and in that time she managed to get help. Williams is now in police custody.
