Law enforcement is trying to locate a woman and her infant child, believing the woman may pose a danger to the child’s welfare, according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department.
Christena Kendall-Hammer, 33, is described as a white female, 5 feet 2 inches, about 170 pounds with blue eyes and blond hair.
The infant, Benjamin Hammer, is 1 month old and about 10 pounds.
“This is not a true Amber Alert, it does not qualify as a kidnapping,” said Lt. Jim Fogg. “The sheriff’s department was given an emergency protection order from the courts, before we could get that served she picked up the child at a daycare facility... The information provided was sufficient to raise concerns she could be a danger to the child.”
