Amber alert issued for missing Renton girl

    KOMO-TV STAFF

Renton police have now issued an Amber Alert for a missing 3-year-old girl.

Brooklyn McDade was last seen about 6:15 a.m. Friday morning at 1455 South Puget Drive.

The girl was left alone in her apartment while her babysitter ran an errand. When the babysitter returned, the sliding door to the apartment was open and the girl was gone.

Police said a witness at the apartment complex told them she believed a good Samaritan located Brooklyn and said she was going to take the little girl to work and then phone police.

But that call never came, and now police worry the girl might have been abducted.

The little girl is African-American, approximately 3 feet tall, with brown hair and brown eyes, and is possibly wearing a purple jacket with green pants and a white sweater. She also has a small scar, about the size of a penny, on the underside of her right wrist. Her hair is short and not combed.

The woman last seen with her is described as an African-American woman in her mid-20s with a thin build and wearing all dark clothing. She might have been driving a brown, four-door 2000 Mazda 626 Millennia. The license plate is not known. The car was last seen in the apartment complex.

Anyone with information regarding Brooklyn is asked to phone 911.
